Chance me?

Could any of you chance me for regular admittance? I would really appreciate it =]

The only thing I’m really worried about is my lack of AP’s junior year, although all of my classes except for 2 were college level. I’m really riding on my numerous leadership positions, very tough curriculum, and international & state awards.

• Senior Year Course Load: AP Calc BC, AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Psych, Organic Chem, and 2 required classes,
• Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.):
International award for Pediatric Ophthalmology research in India

Subjective:

• Summer Activities: Research on anti-tumor drug, successfully made derivative that had never been made before
• Essays: I’m a good writer, so they should be great
• Teacher Recommendation: Excellent

Other

• School Type: Public/Charter

• Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.):

Your extracurriculars look really good (leadership, demonstrates passion in the activitiest)…SAT could be better but it’s not that important.

As for your concern over the APs, it wouldn’t matter as long as you took the harderst courses possible. However, if APs were offered in your junior year and you chose not to take them, that will count against you. The most important part of the application (according to Princeton) is the rigor of your courseload and your academic transcript. Even so, you might make up for it by writing stellar essays and/or capitalizing on your ECs (too little information is given here for me to determine the extent of your achievements).

As they say, “the best way to be rejected is to not apply”…give it a shot! Though what actually goes on behind the doors of the admissions office of any Ivy League school is beyond us. ;)

Chance me back?

You have a very impressive app. Your extracurriculars, though, should show some type of dedication to a certain aspect of your life, you have something, but not very clear, the research material… beautiful, you should help me on how you got there … like how you did that. Where did you get the resources from? How? And also, if you can, more SAT IIs would be better.
