Chance me?

I applied Early Decision to Brown University this fall and I'm just grossly anxious and I need to know if I'll at least get deferred. Please don't be too mean!

My school doesn't have grades...so I can't really give you that stat. BUT I will say that it would (hopefully) convert to a 4.0 unweighted. My reports are written in paragraph form and have always been complimentary and very good.

Haiti thing: Since the earthquake in Haiti in 2010, I have been organizing benefit concerts for Haitian relief(duh). In March of 2010(concert 1), I raised $1500, March of 2011(concert 2), $900, and October of 2011(third and final high school concert), raised $4855, total of $7255. All of the proceeds have gone to a local organization with Vassar College called the Vassar Haiti Project. The money I donated is going to help rebuild the only music school in Haiti, Holy Trinity Music School in Port-au-Prince. I'm currently featured as a community member of the VHP, and in September of last year, I was honored by Vassar College and presented a check with the leader of the VHP to an executive member of Holy Trinity when a boys choir from the school came to do a concert at Vassar.

That's probably everything.
I feel so egomaniacal writing all of these things! I'm sorry in advance.

Also if you've read anything after my test scores, I applaud you!
Thank you thank you thank you!

School doesn’t have grades? How?

My school bases their evaluations on narrative reports for individual students in addition to a table “graded” from Area of Concern(fail), Developing(like a c), Proficient(like an A), to Distinguished(exceeds all expectations), in a variety of different categories. After this table there is the narrative report which talks about work ethic, impressive work, areas upon which to improve etc etc. It’s modeled after a system that the St. Anne’s School in NYC, a highly regarded prep school, uses. I’ve talked to the admissions officers at many schools and they say that they’ve encountered this many times and I even spoke to the officers at Brown who read my application and they assured me that it’s no problem and that they can evaluate it fairly.

Oh and I forgot to add that I play 6 instruments and I’m learning and taking on others in my free time.
I play (in order of ability), guitar, piano, bass(self taught), drums(self taught), accordion(self taught), and ukulele(self taught).

I’m teaching myself trumpet, and I hope to learn violin, banjo, mandolin, and to sing.

Bumpbumpbump
