<p>Your chances aren’t great, but still there. Your GPA is high, but your ACT scores are below average for UM, which will especially hurt you since you’re OOS. A 30% chance sounds about right.</p>

my sister who was oos and asian attends mich now, and she only had a 29 on the act, and 3.7 gpa.</p>
<p>My son has a 31 ACT, 3.6 unweighted GPA in honors and AP, 3rd generation legacy, instate - rejected last year for LS&A. Michigan is getting harder to get into and it depends largely on circumstances beyond grades. Is your sister in Engineering? If they are seeking diversity in a male dominated area then sex may play a part. Race and economic status are sizable contributors as well.</p>
