<p>I know chance threads are redundant but I wanted to see some opinions.

Currently Taking: Calc AB, Physics, Eng Lit, Gov</p>
<p>SAT I: 2070 (Total) 1390 (R+M)
SAT II: History 780 Math II 650 Chemistry 630
ACT: 29 Superscore of 30</p>
<p>I am very involved in my community mainly via my church's youth group (homeless feedings, elderly visits, Special Olympics, missions' trips, etc.) have displayed leadership in a number of these functions</p>
<p>I am a leader in several of my school's clubs and am a part of (NHS, Robotics Club, FCA, Habitat on Campus) Also a Math Tutor for school</p>
<p>I am very involved in sports. I have played football (1st two years) baseball all 4 years (Varsity latter 2) and Cross Country (1 year Varsity) and was a Co-Captain of these. </p>
<p>Several Leadership Camps (one at the US Naval Academy)
I am applying for Mechanical Engineering. Might change later.</p>
<p>Would definitely do ROTC in college to cover school costs.</p>
<p>Your UW GPA is awesome while your weighted GPA is not that great. SAT is a little below average. Extra curriculars sound great though, and the UC’s love athlete students. </p>
<p>Word of advice, don’t apply under engineering -> apply under a different L&S major and switch to engineering if you get in. (Its harder to get in as an engineer)</p>

<p>Thanks for the advice. I applied to UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCSB, Cal poly and a few state schools. I really want to get into an academy (west point, airforce) but obviously I would be content with a great school in Cali. I’m just concerned with how I would cope with the large classes at the public schools. But I know full well how much cheaper it is to attend a public. Hoping for the best and a little bit of clarity haha</p>
