My intended major is Pre-Med. I got a C and then a D for my semester grades in my Junior IB Pre-Calc class. But I'm taking Honors Pre-Calc again online, and I have an A. Will this affect my chances terribly?

Also, what are my chances for the Honors College (something I really want to get into!) Thanks! :)

Same thing happened to me with precalc, I don’t think it will affect your chances aslong as you retake and finish before sending in your final transcript. Im in the process of wrapping up the grade forgiven precalc and it will be on the transcript I send to UF.

In all honesty I think your chances are 85-95%, fully sure, not just making up random numbers.

Thanks, although the Pre-Calc isn’t grade replacement (Honors can’t replace IB). Any thoughts about honors acceptance?

Excluding the minor flaw with the C & D in math which I believe
that UF will not even take into consideration as they may only
view your total GPA / SAT, you gave a great chance for regular
fall admissions, but I beleive that your chances for honors
are minimal. Good Luck

Chances for honors are minimal? :frowning: My test scores are good enough, and my GPA is good enough… why do you think it’s minimal?

Nick-
Remember that I am only providing you an opinion.
I “believe” that just getting accepted into UF obviously
requires good stats and admission is still based on a great deal
of luck as there are many qualified applicants applying. That
being said, as in regular admissions, getting into honors also requires
great stats and again a lot of LUCK !
And I wish you luck !
