Chance Me!

Hello! I applied Early Action to Michigan and was wondering about my chances of getting in.
Average-91.4 unweighted average
Classes: Almost all honors and AP classes possible
Currently Enrolled: 5 AP classes (English, US Gov, Spanish, Environmental Science, and AB Calculus), Honors French 3.
Scores: My highest composite ACT is a 32 but superscored is a 34 (highest english/writing is 33).
SAT 2s: 700-Bio, 700-American History, 740-Math 1).
Extra Curriculars: Intern with New York Senator (Kirsten Gillibrand) for two summers, part of prestigious Shakespeare acting company, President of Model UN, Editor of school newspaper, designed/run tutoring program at Hispanic Resource Center, various community service activities throughout the area

Any input as to whether admission looks good or not would be helpful! Thanks!

I’d say admission is almost a sure thing, you could even apply to HYPS if you get your ACT up a point or two.

Good Luck!

^ This person has no idea what he is talking about, especially regarding HYPS

You do have a pretty good shot at Michigan, but assuming that you are OOS you are not a guarantee. I don’t know what a 91.4 is on a 4.0 scale but I guess it’s good. Your ECs are nothing special, but I think by your scores and grades you have a good shot.

Michigan does not superscore standardized test scores.

A 3.7-3.8 GPA with a 32 on the ACT is solid, but will still be a reach for OOS applicants.
