Chance me?

I am currently a junior at a California public high school.
My current GPA is W 3.76/UW 3.65 <-freshman and sophomore year
However, this semester I had a 4.1 and I expect to keep this up next semester…

I just took the SAT and am about to take the ACT, so those scores aren’t available yet…

I don’t go to very good school, so only one AP course during junior year…:confused:
I’ve taken Honors English, AP English Lang and will take AP English Lit next year… along with Honors Alg 2, Honors Pre Cal, and next year, AP Calc. I also plan on taking AP Biology and AP Spanish my senior year.

{Extracurriculars include Student Council, Mock Trial, Academic Decathlon, Journalism, Book Club, Key Club, Drama Club, Varsity Cross Country. I also am in a program where I train a service dog for someone who is disabled (which will show up as an elective on my app)
This summer I plan on working for the National Park System.}
ECs don’t matter apparently, but just in case…

I haven’t decided whether I am going to apply to be an English major or Biology… which one would I have a better chance of getting into, if I do have a chance?

you really can’t tell much of anything (with cal poly) until you have your standardized test scores. your gpa is decent and it going up at all will help you out. So far i think you have a chance but standardized test scores will make or break you.

Also, its worth mentioning that english is substantially easier to get into at cal poly than biology. However, those are two very different majors, and you should be sure of atleast what college you want to get into before applying, since cal poly strongly discourages changes in major.
