*I meant to say I know my scores are low for Washington and Lee

So so. Don’t know your HS and how competitve it may be or what % goes to 4 year colleges. That matters unless you have a “hook,” Pell grant, 1st gen college, minority, etc. Grades seem to be good. Scores need help. AP results so far are ok but not wow! Hope your first semester went well. THat may help.

As in “minority”, does Washington and Lee WANT Asians? W&L has like a 2% asian population while brown has like 20% (not sure)

Yes, W&L wants Asian students, and it likely spends a good bit of money trying to attract them. The issue is really in the other direction. A good % of Asian students in this country are 1st generation. Their parents, particularly if professionals with college education from their home country, seem to value large research universities, Ivies and a small handful of the top tier LAC’s (Williams, Amherst, and a couple others). The same seems to be true among those without college degrees. Its’ a prestige and perceived value “thing.” In addition, the concept of a LAC is alien in virtually all other countries, so the idea of going someplace to have the mind educated versus having a pre-professional degree is also alien.
