<p>I'm a junior. I screwed up my freshman year big time-- 3.8 1st semester, 4.5 second semester. Sophmore year I picked up and got straight A's- 4.4 each sem, and have so far taken 3 AP exams, getting two 3's and one 4. I got a C+ in Biology Honors, a B+ in Geometry and B+ in AVID freshman year. I took the PSAT freshman year and got a 1300 av., then 1800 av. sophmore year. Last semester, I got a 4.4. I hope to keep this next sem. as well. </p>

<p>EC's: I've done over 100 hours of volunteering service, have been to Europe sophmore summer, won speech competition in Academic Decathlon, president of Social Lights and class of '13. I'm the head writer for my school newspaper and aspire to major in History or English. I plan on going to France with the French club this summer and play the piano for 3 years at the talent show. </p>

<p>I'm scared that my freshman year might ruin my chances. Please let me know if it will. Thanks!</p>

<p>I don’t do Chances, but it would probably help others to know your UW gpa for each year and cumulative, as weighting varies between schools. Also, w/o an actual SAT score it’s difficult to predict anything, and a competitive SAT would have to be substantially higher than 1800.</p>
