my gpa freshman and sophmore year was kinda sucky. oh no sports, bad asthma but im invovled in 3 clubs at school and im officer in key club.

Being an in-state, first gen black male makes your chances sky-rocket. Your ACT is definitely lower than their average, but I think the other things could make up for it. Can’t say for sure, though. Have you taken a rigorous course load?

Also German 1-4, and other classes

Your classes look good. I’m assuming your GPA’s been on an upward trend since freshman/sophomore year, since your GPA is still pretty good? That’ll help as well.

Those people you mentioned probably don’t have the hooks you do to get in. That really does make a difference. Did you apply EA?

No, I wish I did though. I always wondered if applying EA also gives you a boost. Like, do they give EA applicants more attention than regular applicants?

Tyrell, you might have a shot with your hooks, but I suggest you retake the ACT. And nono, EA is actually harder to get in with- you’re compared with the cream of the crop, everyone who thinks that their stats are good enough to get into that prestigious a school. the admissions rates are technically slightly higher EA, but the applicants are also all stellar. You’d stand more of a chance normal decision.
