<p>GPA: 3.74 UW
SAT: 2350 (800 Math, 770 CR, 780 WR)
APs: 5- World History, Human Geography
4- European History, Statistics, English Language, Spanish Language, US History
This year- Microeconomics, English Literature, Spanish Literature, Physics B, Calculus AB, Macroeconomics</p>

<p>I wrote very good essays</p>

<p>I go to the highest ranked school in Georgia. It is very hard so my GPA is relatively low. </p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Drum Major of school marching band
founded african culture club and politically active citizens
Board member of Beta Club
Honor Band Member
1st chair clarinetist in my school band and symphony orchestra
National honor society
Spanish honor society
passed B1 dele exam </p>

<p>Hooks: I am an AA, first generation college student male.</p>

<p>UGA, Georgia Tech, NYU- in.
Vanderbilt, Cornell- GPA might be an issue, but being first gen and URM will help you!
Duke- reach for most/everyone
HYPC & UPenn- reaches for all</p>

<p>Your GPA is on the low side (but recognizing that you come from a very highly rated school, I don’t think that should hold you back too much), and your ECs don’t differentiate you very much… but being AA and First Gen will help! Best of luck and thanks for chancing me!</p>

<p>Your GPA is a bit low… What’s your class rank? If that’s up there, that could really help you. Right now I’d say that out of the schools you applied to, the reaches are Duke, HYPC, and uPenn. The others, I think you’ve got.</p>

<p>I don’t know my exact rank, but I just know i am in the top 10% of my class and there are around 700 kids in my grade</p>

<p>You’re ECs are pretty good and your academics are great except fort that low GPA (which ivies and other schools will understand coming from such a competitive high school). Did you take any Subject Tests b/c I feel like some of the ivies require them but I could be wrong.
