Chance Me!

Hey. So I am a junior at my high school. I currently have a 3.65 UWGPA and a 4.26 WGPA. I plan on getting a 3.68-4.7 UWGPA and a 4.30-4.32 WGPA by the end of my junior year. I have an SAT score of 2150. I have tons of ECs (clubs, NHS, competitions, etc) and leadership positions (about 5 or 6 ever since freshman year). I believe I am in the top 10% in my class. Do you think I could get into good colleges. I plan on applying to few liberal arts (Haverford, Carnegie Mellon, Pomona, Brandeis) and also to the BA/MD programs (Boston Univ, UH/Baylor, Texas Tech, UTD/Southwestern PACT, WashU of St. Louis). Do you think I would be able to get into those colleges? If you got into one of these BA/MD programs, can you post your stats? Also, is my gpa good enough for these colleges/programs? Also, these program deadlines are in February of my senior year. So can I also include my senior year fall semester in my gpa for those programs or do they only look at junior year and before gpa? I'm asking this cause I think I can raise my UWGPA to a 3.75 and my WGPA to a 4.35-4.4 by the end of my fall semester of senior year. Thanks.

just wondering, what if i only raise my gpa to a 3.7 UW and 4.35 W? what would happen then? also what are some stats for the Boston U program cause I can’t find it on the website.

also i dont know if this helps, but i volunteer over 500 hours at hospitals/other place. i shadowed few doctors. im doing a summer research internship (i might continue it during senior year if they allow me)with a doctor mostly likely at texas childrens or md anderson (i still have to choose).

and i taught english in india one summer at an orphanage. i couldnt continue the next summer cause they found a full time english teacher.

lol so many questions. is the sienna/amc program requirements where you have to be in top 10%?

and i also started teaching myself piano this past year. i learned piano in elementary/middle school, but then my teacher got cancer so she had to stop so i eventually stopped. i wanted to get back into it so i started teaching myself. lol i forget a lot of things for my stats

BA/MD programs are among the most competitive in the country regardless of the school. With a 3.7/2150 I think those programs are highly unlikely. As a straight admission to undergrad I think BU, UTD, Houston and Texas Tech are match/safeties the others on your list are reach to big reach.

Go to collegenavigator at the nces site. THey have all the stats you can handle about individual schools.

Thanks vinceh! Yeah I really plan on just going to those colleges you listed. If I get accepted to the ones that are reaches, I might plan on going depending on the situation. But yea, those safeties/matches are really my top choices. But I plan on applying to BA/MD programs for the safeties and hope I get it. Thanks!

Can you please chance me? :)
