<p>I am currently a high school junior. I have around a 3.75 gpa weighted, 3.6 unweighted and have taken a good amount of AP and honors classes. I have also played basketball, volleyball and track. Also a good amount of volunteer work and plenty of extra circulars including a job and internship with a local newspaper and I am going abroad for community service this summer. I have a fairly low act score with a composite of 23. I'm hoping that my gpa, course rigor and extra circulars will be strong enough.</p>

<p>My friend with a 3.9x and a 23 ACT got deferred this year. We go to a larger feeder school.</p>
<p>I probably barely got in myself with a 3.7x. And a 32 ACT. It’s a tough school to get into these days, but I wish you the best of luck next year.</p>

<p>You definitely have a shot at Syracuse. As for Michigan, what major do you plan on? My ACT was also pretty low, but I got into the UM School of Art & Design because 50% of their decision is based on your grades, and the other 50% is your submitted art portfolio. It really depends! Good luck.</p>
<p>I plan on going into Sports Management, which I believe is in the School of Kinesiology. So I don’t really know how they weigh things or if that helps me. I looked on their website and didn’t find anything about that, but if you know please let me know. Thanks!</p>
