Chance me?

Hi there,
I am 19-years-old and graduated from high school in 2010. I have been attending community college since graduation and I am a "science" major. I am interested in transferring to a biology program at a 4-year university after earning my associate's degree. Right now my goal is to become a physician's assistant, but I may decide to pursue a masters degree in biochemistry or apply to a MD program after getting my BS.

Schools I'm looking at (in order with favorites at the top):
Penn State - U Park
Kean University
Temple University
USciences
Drexel University
Arcadia University
Elizabethtown College
University of Pennsylvania
American University
George Washington University
NYU

Cost & availability of student housing are big factors in my choices, so if you know anything about the housing at these schools please elaborate :)

Other stuff:

Total college credits earned: 30

College cum. GPA: 2.716 - pulled down a lot from failing anatomy & physiology my first semester of college, but I do plan on taking it again (and getting a great grade!) before starting at a 4-year school. I also failed a philosophy class last semester but it is not required for me to graduate from CC since I have already completed my social science requirements. My GPA would be a 3.5 without those 2 failed classes.

SAT scores (taken in May 2011)
Reading: 530
Math: 530
Writing: 560

I know a lot of schools are not really interested in high school grades from people who have completed their sophomore year in college but I will provide anyway:
HS Class Rank: 559 out of 784
Cum. GPA for Senior Year: 81.5

I don't have any special awards or extracurricular activities, and I am really not interested in getting any because I usually take ~17 credits every semester plus I work part-time.

Anything else just ask! Sorry if I posted a little too much, I'm a newbie.
Thanks :)

bump…

If you retake those classes will it take away those fails or will they still count?

The failures would still show up on my transcript.

Even so, maybe they will look at the fact you tried again and amend you for your efforts to do better. There is nothing colleges love more then to see improvement and drive. If you put in a lot of effort and get a good grade on those failed classes they might look differently. Your GPA is kind of low to be applying to those schools though, but if you can manage to show a good increase in GPA over your next few classes I would say you have a decent shot at getting in.
