<p>Dude, honestly, you’re a pretty solid applicant overall. All your scores are above average for UW, I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in. Just don’t slack off too much next year and make those admissions essays good.</p>
<p>You will get in no problem! But if you want someone to compare with, here is my info:</p>
<p>SAT: Reading=630, Writing=720, Math=730, Superscore=2080
GPA: 3.93
Total AP classes: 7
Total Honors classes: 4
Language classes: 3 years of Spanish
Extracurriculars: Swim team, NHS,</p>
<p>One huge thing that will help you even more is your college application essay. Make it personal, well-written, and descriptive. Good luck to you bro! And I hope to see you in a couple years as a fellow Husky!</p>
<p>I think you will definitely get in! Spend a good amount of time on your essays. Very much the key to admission these days it seems. Good luck :)</p>
<p>3.98 & 3.93? I’m nowhere close to that (3.8) and i’m out of state. Would this really hurt my chances?</p>
<p>Hey. Thanks for all the input guys! And good luck to anyone else applying.
UDUBHUSKIES: I dont think it will. A 3.8 is high, and plenty of people get in with lower gpas</p>
<p>I’m going to be a freshman this fall; my stats were:
SAT: Critical Reading- 770, Writing: 640, Math: 670 one sitting
GPA: 3.89
AP Classes: 5
3 years of Japanese
Extracurriculars: Relay for Life of the American Cancer Society (Team Captain; 3 yrs), Green Team (Secretary, Treasurer; 3 yrs), NHS & Key Club (Member; 2 yrs each), Football (2 yrs Varsity; only played fresh. & soph. year), Track and Field (2 yrs varsity; only ran fresh. and soph. year; made it to districts on State Championship Team).
I’m also a Washington Scholar, but I didn’t have that recognition at the time^^
You’re in. If I were you, I’d go for a lot of smaller private/liberal arts schools. UW is just respectable in my family at the most:(</p>
<p>University of Washington is very easy to get admitted to instate. I don’t get why you guys are sweating it.
Loads of people from my school got admitted with 3.7s, and 1800-1900s on SATs.
I know 1-2 people who got in with 3.5s and 1700s. It’s not really a big deal for instate applicants who are relatively qualified.
^This isn’t true for OOS though, it is considerably harder to get into.</p>
<p>@JuanitaRebel, what would you say is the criteria for OOS, then?</p>
<p>@UDUBHUSKIES
I’m not really familiar with OOS critieria so I can’t really give you any informed advice.
If I was to take a stab at it, I would say 2050+(non-superscored SAT or ACT equivalent) and 3.8+ GPA.</p>
