Hello there! I'm a new member on CC, but have been reading the threads forever. I'm starting my Junior year next year, and was wondering what I should improve over the course of the year for college. The universities I am interested in are Barnard (1st choice), NYU, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, Brown, MIT, UChicago, Duke, and USC. I am interested in Sociology, Political Science, Journalism, and Urban Studies, although I do not know what I will declare for a major.

Info:
White Female
Large Public, but it is considered a good school (Around 2200 students total)
Legacy at 2 of the Universities

My stats:
GPA: 3.7 UW/4.3 W (This will go up next year probably to a 3.8 UW and a 4.5 W)
Rank: Right now, 8%. I think this will be better next year.
Classes: All honors/APs. I took 1 AP (AP Lang) sophomore year, and will be taking 1 AP (APUSH) junior year. I will be taking 5 APs (Lit, Calc BC, Psych or Bio, Studio Art, Gov) senior year. I am also considering self studying 2 APs.
SAT/ACT: Haven't taken them yet. However, I took the PSAT/PLAN, and I believe I will have at least a 2100 on the SAT.

Activities: I put both current and future years. However, I don't know what leadership positions I will have senior year. Also, I grouped them by category.
