Chance me

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>My criteria is below. Can you please tell me my chances of getting in UCLA. It is my number one school. I want to study biochemisty or go into the engineering field</p>

<p>In January of 2012 I was also diagnosed with diabetes</p>

<p>Hi, your stats are great, but GPA is a little lower than the average that they’re use to. I think with great essays, you’ll get in. I got in this year as a Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology major. I had 3.98 GPA and a 1730 SAT. I wrote, what seemed to me, great essays. I took my time with the application, and I made sure to show the growth I’ve experienced as a person. You have great extracurricular activities, but how about some more community service? :)</p>

<p>If your GPA is UW then you’re fine as long as you write great essays. If it’s weighted, you’re a bit below the average.</p>

<p>Thank you so much for the comments. I do plan to commit some time over the summer to Habitat for Humanity and volunteer as an assistant in the Christian Health Care Center.</p>

<p>One question though. Would UCLA review my application differently since I am out of state</p>

<p>Yeah you’ll be evaluated against the other OOSers. You probably have a better shot of getting in since the acceptance rate for OOS is higher than for in state, but I’m not sure.</p>
