<p>I changed schools between 10th and 11th grade so I had to change some of my extracurriculars.</p>

<p>All of your stats look great, you have a nearly perfect ACT and high GPA.Pomona balances their class 50-50, so being male will actually help you, as will being from SC (maybe). What kind of article did you publish? If it is something unique, and/or was published in a well known journal, this is something to emphasize, perhaps even include in your application. Your EC’s seem a bit scattered, and it would be good if you took on a leadership role in one or more of them your senior year. You need to really focus on your essays to “pop”. An interview could also help. You’ll need to show the adcomms someone behind those nice numbers. Also, I think letters of rec are really important, so pick teachers who really know you.</p>
