Chance me?

Now that I finally have my SAT Subject Test scores I would like to be chanced to see what I need to retake/improve upon. MIT is my top choice but along with getting in I'm going to have to pull off some major scholarships to make it work :/ Here's to hoping for the best!

4.0 GPA unweighted
4.7 GPA weighted(6.0 for AP/dual-enroll, 4.5 for honors, 4.0 for regular)
3rd in class of 600 or so students.
SAT:620 reading, 750 math, 610 writing
ACT:32 composite, 35 math, 29 reading, 33 science, 31 english, 29 english/writing combined, 8 writing(I retook this in june to get the reading score up and I'm fairly confident I did, along with hopefully the composite and the other scores, still awaiting the results though)
SAT Subject Tests:800 Math II, 690 Physics, 580 Chemistry(Chemistry was iffy because I've only taken chem honors, which wasn't very detailed at my school. Physics I was EXTREMELY happy with a 690, I was expecting worse, so I'm glad I have something I think is reasonably high)

For ECs:

Color guard: Been in marching band/winter guard since freshman year, played flute freshman year and switched to color guard full time sophomore. I was band secretary for my sophomore and junior year and for my upcoming senior year I am color guard co-captain
NHS:NHS member since my sophomore year, which is the first year it is available
NTHS:NTHS member since junior year, first year it is available
Vice president of computer club my sophomore year before it disbanded
Secretary of harry potter club(lol) before it disbanded.

What do you think?

First off your grades are amazing. You can get into any Ivy league college you wish to enroll in. Just work hard on your essay, try very hard to be different than any of the other applicants. There are a lot of well accomplished students like you enrolling themselves into MIT so show a difference in your college essay. If I could chance you I would say 95%. Hope I helped. My grades aren’t as well as yours but if you don’t mind can you chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1355893-what-my-chances.html

mmmm, I wouldn’t listen to that^

Honestly, there’s no point in chancing… I have no true knowledge on any of this… No one on CC really does, but I will say this…

Submit your ACT score.

I know you’re happy with the physics, but think about retaking it… (also, I took SAT chem w/o honors or AP and got a 730, so no excuses! It’s okay to screw up without a valid excuse OP! MIT doesn’t just accept people with perfect scores or grades.)

Write awesome essays… They mean a lot.

and

Try to relax and have some fun along the way. :)

Good luck! Hopefully we’ll both be a part of MIT’s class of 2017;***********

You probably should work on your ACT math scores + SAT II Physics&Chemistry

Update: New ACT scores: 35 Composite, 34 English, 35 Math, 36 Reading, 36 Science, 32 Englsih/Writing, 9 Esaay

Do you guys think I really need to retake Physics? Is it going to make or break me? I mean now that I have a 36 science ACT(I know its different but still).

@Lesleyclovesyou13: I don’t self-study well. I looked at my chemistry review book for an entire week before the test and by the night before I still didn’t have a clue on a lot of the content because it had never been demonstrated to me. Maybe I had a bad review book. I used McGraw Hill for all three tests.

I would think about retaking it. Most students who send their scores to good colleges have at least 700 on subject tests. Your ECs need a bit of work also. Otherwise your grades and scores are fine. I think you have a decent shot at it
