I'm planning on retaking the SAT and SAT Chem, while also taking SAT US History... My school offers very few courses, so there is a lack in variety of classes, but it's ranked very highly according to US News (if that matters at all...) I'd appreciate it if you guys would give me honest feedback, but don't bash me too hard, thanks.

What’s your class rank or estimated percentile? Which school in Carnegie Mellon do you plan on applying to?

Sat scores need some work, you should raise it to a solid 2200+.

My school doesn’t rank, but i’m in the top 10%. I haven’t really looked into the different schools, and yeah I’m planning on getting at least 2200.

I think youll get in; my friend was accepted with a lower gpa than you (3.5-3.6 around there) with a sat score of 2150. He barely had any ec’s.

Provided you get a solid 2200 or higher, you should have a solid chance of getting in, will go either way. If you are applying to the school of computer science (SCS) however then your chances are extremely slim.

I’m going for an applied math major so which school should I be applying to?

Should be Mellon College of Science but email cmu admissions to make sure. If it is MCS, then you should have a solid shot getting in, and higher early decision

Okay, thanks a lot cortana!
