SAT reasoning test was taken with 2 hours of sleep and killer headache, aiming for 2200+ in october

** Absolutely no prep for Math 2 and Lit subject tests, aiming for 750+ in both

Please be honest, maybe giving some reccomendations to having a stronger app

If you get a 2100+, 750’s on the two subject tests, and do ED.

I think your in for CAS and have a good shot for Stern!

Good chance for NYU. As was said above, definitely try to improve your SAT scores.

What are you looking to study/which college are you planning to apply to?

Are SAT II required? For ED?

I’ll be applying to Stern for business, and do you have any suggestions besides the SAT scores?

No, NYU does not require any sort of SAT II’s.

The SAT scores at this point are the most important, as a 1900 is just barely within the NYU average, and is more rare within Stern and CAS.

Other than that, see if you can find any internships or EC’s that are more or directly business related to show an interest in business.

@NYU2013 you said that those score ranges are rarer in schools like Stern and CAS. What schools do you think this would be easier to get in with? Gallatin? Steinhardt? (If I’m not mistaken, a 1900 SAT is around a 27-28 ACT, right?)

Are you applying ED?

I’m not sure if i am applying ED, mostly because i’m not sure if it’ll give me an advantage

It definitely will give you an advantage to apply ED. It all depends on whether or not you’re willing to make that commitment. SAT II not required, but it could definitely help if you can throw in a 700+ on a math level 2. Don’t submit the Lit score if you can’t get it up, though, imo. Definitely get those SAT’s up tho.

I don’t think you can send in 3 letters of recommendation. the NYU website says that the max is 2.

@Generalgao93: I think I am going to apply ED. You didn’t mention anything about this but just to make sure, I should send in the SAT II chem score right? I mean, it seems counterproductive to not send it in, but i’m just wondering

It’s an 800. Of course you send it. I’d say anything 700+ is good to send. The SAT 2’s I sent were 800 Math 2, 740 Bio-E, 720 Chem.

How detrimental would it be to not send SAT II scores? I only got a 670 in US History and a 610 in Literature. I’m not planning on sending them, but I only have a 29 ACT and a 3.71 UW GPA though…

I’m pretty sure they’re not required. So if they’re good, send 'em. If not, do better or don’t send.
