Cornell Engineering SAT 25th - 75th percentiles:
Math 740-800
Reading 670-750

Writing is irrelevant, but frankly your 1400 puts you towards the bottom of the class. That’s not necessarily going to cut you out, but you’ll need to make a strong case otherwise with recommendations, ecs and essays. Being a URM and/or female is a huge bonus for Cornell Engineering. Male:Female ratio for Class of 2015 was 63:37

Male admit to COE is one of the toughest of Cornell’s 7 colleges. Yes, you are quailified, but so are many others that get rejected. Essays & teachers recs. will go a long way in deciding your fate.

If your math SAT is 750+, then I’d say your CR score being comparatively low (to the average) isn’t all that bad (if that’s the case). I think your GPA/rank is a fairly significant advantage. You’re definitely a qualified, competitive candidate. As said above, make sure you write a fantastic essay and I think your chances won’t be bad at all.
