Recommendations: I know my counselor very well, Ive talked to him once a month since sophomore year. Teachers, good recs as well hopefully.

I want to major in Petroleum Engineering or Nuclear Engineering or Chemical Engineering. I want to minor in Business.

Thank you

You should probably just stick with the ACT and not bother with retaking the SAT.

Cornell U: As an Ivy League, this is obviously a reach no matter how great of an applicant you are. I believe that one of the most important things for Cornell is showing a lot of interest for your major (then again, I guess that’s also most other classes), so one of the essay prompts is something along the lines of what activities have you done that demonstrate your interest/caused you to have interest/etc/etc. Your course load is pretty impressive, and you seem to have an obvious talent in math, which could really help.

UT Austin: Your ACT score actually already falls on the high end. This college apparently values class rank and course rigor most, so this should be a match.

Texas A&M: Pretty similar to UT Austin, I guess.

Not very good at recommending colleges and not that aware of many colleges to being with, so…
