Chance Me?

Hello, this is my first post, so excuse me if I have any egregious errors or whatnot. I'm very interested in this university, and would like to know my odds of getting in for ED2.

Grades:
3.32 with steep upward trend (i.e. from a 3.2 to a 3.62 in sophomore to junior year)
SAT Reasoning: 1970 (730 W, 640 M, 600 CR)
SAT Subject Tests: 720 Math Level 2, 670 Spanish
Pretty Rigorous Course-load (Total of 6 APs)

International student, white, part of school's robotics team. Big computer science/math student. 4 different internships over summers, including working for the Mayor of New York.

Thanks!

Nothing official and merely my opinion, but you’d be a possible admit. Your GPA is not particularly strong, but I’m sure you know that, so there’s a bit of a problem. But your scores are good and so is your AP-heavy course load. Extras look good, though you don’t indicate what “international” or why Colgate and that might matter to the Admissions Office.
I’d say go ahead and apply, but don’t count on getting admitted.

Thanks for the reply. I live in London, and go to a competitive school there. In terms of “Why Colgate,” I’ve explained that in the supplement, so I’m not too worried about that. I really liked the bucolic environment there!

“Bucolic” is an interesting choice of words. Coming from an urban center like London, it’s easy to undersatand how this might attract you. In the end, every student creates their own world at Colgate and in Hamilton and its environs. You may want to zero in a bit more on how you might create your own little world there–think about the myriad of activities you might participate in to make this a bucolic environment and much more–an important stage of exploration and development in your life. !
