Chance me!

Hello. I'm Freshman in UCLA and need your help to find schools.
I want to study Art History or IR(International Relations) as a major and
my dream schools are now Wellesley and Barnard. I also think about NYU as
an art history major... Please chance me!

-Campaign for Environment (leader - I started)

Classes in this quarter : Modern History, History seminar about 16th century, Geography, and 'practice discussion class' for foreign students.

If I get a good college GPA, does it possible to get into those schools?
(Wellesley - IR major, Barnard - Art History major, NYU - Art History major<maybe>)
Also, I want to hear some school recommendations from you :) But I prefer schools in Boston or NYC.</maybe>

Hi! Nice to meet you. I’m also a student from South Korea who wants to transfer. If you get 3.8+ gpa and write compelling essays, I think you have good chances on Barnard and NYU. Wellesley might be hard but just try to get good freshmen gpa. Nothing is impossible.

Schools like Vanderbilt and USC have high transfer rates. If you are looking for schools in NYC or Boston, what about Tufts? It has some good IR programs. Wish you all the luck! :)

Hi. Thank you for your response  I didn’t think about Tufts but now I started to research.
If you don’t mind, can I ask when will you ask for your letters of recommendation…? I really have no idea that before winter break is better or after is better…

Anyway, again, Thank you for your responseXD Good Luck to all of us!

Hey, I am also a South Korean Freshman at UCLA who is trying to transfer.
I think that the most important thing in transfer admissions is your essay. You need a compelling reason as to why you want to transfer in addition to GPA, extracurricular, etc.

For the letter of recs I would ask before winter break (before finals).
