Chance me?

I'm a current senior with a g.p.a of a 3.1 and an ACT of a 22. I do extracurricular activities as often as i can. My freshman year participated in varsity basketball and volleyball. I also do volunteer work in my community, intern at prestigious companies and institutions (Skidmore, owings and Merril, IIT). Oh, and i'll be re-taking my ACT soon so yea...chances of getting in?

I need to know a little more before I can decide. Any APs or rigorous courseloads? And what specifically do you do for ECs - any leadership positions? Also, have you visited campus, shown any interest to Lehigh, or considered majors?

Frankly, you are below the average stats of entering Lehigh freshmen. Your GPA absolutely needs to go up, and you need to improve that ACT score to around a 28 - at least you’re planning to take it again. Take a look at the profile for the freshmen and try to align yourself with these figures:

Best,

Assuming your gpa is on a 4.0 scale…
I’d say you have a small chance. It really as LehighChemE said depends on which major you are considering.

Your stats alone will most likely not get you into Lehigh. That being said, if you take the ACT’s again and can raise it to a 28+, you’ll have a chance.

Another two things to consider are: course load extracurriculars.

Lehigh does a holistic application review process, meaning they will not only focus on your grades. That being said, your grades still play a big role in the admissions decision.

I applied last year as a freshman with a 3.94 GPA, tons of extra circulars and AP’s and an 1800 SAT score. I was wait listed. That being said, I am pretty sure that my SAT score is what hurt me…so I would say to try to get that up, along with your GPA.
