Chance me?

Hi! Northeastern is my top school...I'd love to attend, but I'm not sure if I'll get in. Could you please chance me?

Female White/Persian
GPA: 3.66 unweighted
My school doesn't do class ranks
SAT: 1840 (CR 570, M 570, W 700)
ACT: 27 (probably taking again)
APs: English literature and composition, French Language

-Co President of international club as of senior year...been a member for 4 years
-French club for 1 year (it's a brand new club)
-Rowing club for 2 years
-2 part time jobs
-Piano for 12 years
-3 languages
-Shadowed at three jobs: local newspaper (got to have an article published), local magazine, house of rep
-CUBSS..it's a program where I helped 4 ninth graders ease into the high school process
-Buddy Program..I was a "buddy" for a third grade girl with family troubles. We spent time together doing homework and talking about her life

I realize my math/reading SAT scores are low. My math grades have always been lower than my English grades. It's evident on my transcript too. Writing is my strong point. I'm applying into communications/journalism and want to minor in French. I'm hoping the school will take my skills in English into consideration more than math since I want to go into journalism

I actually have similar SAT scores as you
CR: 560
Math:580
Writing:710

Writing is also my strongest subject. Im african american and Northeastern is also my top school ( i already applied early action)

From what ive read, i believe you have a good chance of getting into Northeasten University because of your activities. I firmly believe they will take your writing score into high consideration because if u look online a 700 in writing is a high score among applicants so that sets u a part. Also just like you, ive worried about my critical reading and math scores cause they are a lower than the median. But i think your GPA and the things you have been involved in make up for it. Ultimately, i think you have a pretty good chance of getting in because to me, you set yourself off as a really involved, smart student.
