Chance me?!?

Okay, I'm new to these boards, so I'm not sure about all the info I should include, but here it goes.

I'm a Senior and female

State: Washington
GPA: Unweighted-3.68
SAT: Critical Reading: 600 Math: 640 Writing: 640

Extracurricular: Tutoring, National Honor Society, Teacher's Assitant
(I was in some other clubs which I am no longer in)
Achievements: National Hispanic Recognition Scholar

I also was involved in a Nursing Camp program at Seattle Children's hospital

I've gotten all A's and B's throughout high school (Most of my core classes I've gotten A's in, it's mostly P.E. and electives that have brought my GPA down)

By the time I finish high school I will have taken 8 AP classes.

My first essay, I wrote about challenges (personal, financial, social, etc.) we faced moving from the west coast to the east coast and back to the west coast and how I feel it has made me stronger (I know that sounds pretty generic, but the actual essay is much more interesting than how I just described it)
Also, should I write the 4th additional optional essay?

Overall, I guess I'm a pretty average student, I know my GPA and SAT scores are not fantastic but do I have a shot?

P.S.-I apologize if my grammar is really bad here, I'm distracted right now, so please don't this as any indication of how I wrote my essays! :)

Your SAT is a bit low, but with your numbers, I’d say you have a good chance of getting in. UW is a match for you. If you could do one thing, raise your SAT or try your hand at the ACT but I guess it’s kind of too late now if you haven’t already signed up.

Im not sure what you mean by the 4th essay… if youre talking about the honors one, then by all means, go for it if you want to try honors.

thanks for your response! by 4th essay, I meant the additional comment part

“4. Additional Comments (optional)

Use this section for anything you wish to express that doesn’t seem to fit in any of the required writing areas. For example, if you have experienced personal hardships in attaining your education, if your activities have been limited because of work or family obligations, or if you want us to know how important something really is to you, tell us here.”

Your SAT could be a little higher, but I got in with a 19xx. Maybe take the subject tests? And work on your essays and make 'em shine! Good luck!

The fact that gym of all classes has brought you down might raise some eyebrows, but you’ve got a good shot with good essays.
