Chance me?

<p>Hey guys, I'm kind of new to this board (har har scrolling through Google on UW admission statistics and discovered this place)</p>

<p>I am currently a senior, and female.</p>

<p>State: Washington
GPA: Unweighted-3.58
SAT: 1710 (CR: 560, Math:610, Writing:540)</p>

<p>Extracurricular: Key Club (4 years), JV Ladies' Tennis (3 years), TA @ a Chinese School (4 years), YVC Club President (Just created this year)</p>

<p>I have taken 5 AP classes total already including this year (AP Psychology, AP Calc AB, APLAC, AP Statistics and AP Physics, and 1 CHS class (UW's College English 131/111)</p>

<p>I've also taken Honors since 9/10 grade if that helps D:</p>

<p>My parents are also self employed in an engineering business, and I have to constantly put down my homework/studying time to help them with their needs for the business. Would this be suitable to put in the additional comments sections?</p>

<p>Overall, I'm an average student and my resume isn't fantastic, but would I have a shot? Or like a % shot, disregarding the personal statement and short answer D:</p>

<p>It looks like you have pretty strong ECs and have a rigorous schedule. However, your GPA is average and your SAT score is a bit below the median. </p>

<p>If you have an “average” personal statement, I would give you a 50% chance of getting accepted, but it can really help if you polish that personal statement! </p>

<p>I know a 4.0 student that got rejected because of a horrible personal statement and a 3.5 getting accepted with a good one!</p>
