I've decided to **** myself because I did not realize the graveness of my situation, I am not a competitive applicant! It's a little crushing since my infatuation with Vassar has only increased but I can't help but feel inferior to other prospectives. I'd be happy if anyone gave me an HONEST general evaluation :):

GPA: 3.4 (Honors first two years of high school, IB Diploma candidate for last two years of high school which means I take ALL IB classes, I'm a Physics SL elective. I take the most rigorous curriculum available. My high school is recognized as specialized.)

SAT: 620 CR, 620 M, 580 W (My weakest part, standardized testing isn't my friend)
SAT 2: 640 Lit, 580 US His (These were my first time scores, my new scores are not available yet, but should at least be higher)

ECs: Peer Mediation (member by nomination, student counseling service)
Badminton Club (co-founder, intramural sport)
Muslim Student Association (founding member)
Yearbook (member)

I've had two internships at local museums. One of them was research-based, if that helps.

I have 3 awards for GPA (I have consistently improved my grades over the years, I've averaged a 3.5 GPA for all years except for my freshman year).

Assuming I have great recommendations, supplement, and personal essay, what are my chances?

I really want to break this to you the best way…to be blatantly honest, your chances do not look very good at all. But who knows, anomalies get in sometimes. You already applied ED, so now just wait for the decision. Perhaps, if it does not work out, you may consider Wesleyan. Yes, it is just as competitive as Vassar and perhaps even more so; however, they are known for accepting all kinds of statistical outliers.

I haven’t applied ED yet, I’m sorta wishing I did but I wasn’t comfortable applying ED and not visiting the campus. I visited a few days before the ED I deadline, but it would’ve been too late to process my application with my college counselor.

An alum from my school got into Wesleyan with similar or slightly lower stats than me, but he applied ED. It’s on my list for regular decision but the whole new need-aware thing makes me think my chances are even lower for admission.

Well, it’s incredibly saddening but I appreciate the honesty :)! Do you have any other suggestions for other LAC I might have better luck at?

Bard might be worth a look, and not just because it is near Vassar.

At the other end of the spectrum, Connecticut College.

Whitman?

Vassar strikes me as fairly unique, in both positive and nsome negative ways. It’s hard to know what draws you to it because it has so many facets.
