I'm a junior right now, so some things may be incomplete. I'm not really sure where my gpa/test scores/extra-curriculars can take me, so here I am. I know my extra-curriculars pale in comparison to other peoples' here, but here goes.

GPA (all honors/ap)
UW; 3.80
W: 4.04

Test Scores-
5 AP World
5 AP English Composition
2230 SAT (will retake)

Extracurricular
7 years of Girl Scouts
2 years of marching band
Bunch of Latin awards
4 years of debate
Co-Pres of my school's JSA
Academics Chair for my school's JCL
Vice-Editor in Chief/VP/Secretary/Treasurer for my school literary magazine (long story how i got all those positions)
Decathlon - this year only
CSSSA Grad

sigh... feel free to be as bluntly honest as possible

Pomona: Reach
Berkeley: High match (if 4.04 is your UC GPA, but if your best eight AP and honors courses amount to more than 4.04, maybe match)
Oxford: Reach (at Oxford, SATs and GPAs come first, and ECs if you’re on the fence)

UC Davis or UC San Diego
Cornell too if I cross my fingers
I’m a American citizen and with Oxford, I believe that they look at test scores for foreigners /shrug I could be wrong

I think Pomona is reachable and that you have a very, very decent chance at Berkeley. Oxford would be a reach but it’s a fantastic school so if were you i’d go for it, you’re qualified. Low reach for Cornell and low matches for UCSD and Davis, other matches could be Trinity, Colgate(I’m applying to those, they are very nice schools),UCLA, USC, Reed,American, Barnard, NYU and Tulane. Good luck.

Pomona seems like a possibility although its stats r higher than the ones for ives. berkeley is definately a good shot. i dont want to say u have an excellent shot because you really dont have any ECs, the ones u have r ordinary. so its gonna be all about ur essays so rock those on and ull be fine.

Don’t retake your SAT, that’s a waste of money. If you’re looking to improve your application work on your GPA instead. Also, make sure your essays are solid! If your essays are good, your chances will increase!
