GPA: 3.85 (unweighted) 4.35 (weighted)
ACT: 29
Rank: None (my school doesnt rank)
Resume: I'm pretty heavily involved with community service (my essay is very much focused on it) and I've been dancing for the past 10 years. I also have additional things like art/english honors societies and summer jobs, etc.

I got an alumni letter from a close family friend, but I'm still really nervous about my EA application because my test scores are on the lower side of what they're looking for, and Villanova is definitely my first choice.

Hi! You don’t mention specific courses - are they mostly honor and/or AP? From attending many Info Sessions, we’ve been told repeatedly that the single most important factor in admission is the high school transcript. Colleges want to see you took the most rigorous classes available and that you performed well in them. Standardized tests, while important, don’t weigh as heavily as GPA - and yours is very good.

I can attest to the fact Villanova cares about Community Service - it’s huge on campus - and looks for genuine invovlement. (As an aside, my son also wrote his supplemental essay on his CS work and he got admitted… ) Dancing for 10 years (shows long-term commitment), the honor societies and summer jobs are all positives.

Do your ECs and best grades in courses complement your intended area of study? That might help, too.
