Chance me?

Hey there,
I'm a junior in high school getting ready for college, and I just wanted to know how my chances are so far...
I'd like to major in behavioral neuroscience on a pre-med track at Quinnipiac University OR be accepted into the 8-year Combined Medical Program at the University of Connecticut... these are my top two plans of action thus far...
Do you think I'll make it with my GPA, ECs, etc.? Any opinions/feedback would be greatly appreciated!
By the way, class leveling at my high school is a bit different than most schools....AP (highest level), Honors (second to highest), Level 1 (Pretty high), Level 2 (average), Level 3 (Lowest)

When I take the ACT, i am aiming for a 30 or higher...

I've always made high honor roll during my high school career, with the exception of my first quarter in high school--- geometry was rough for me!

-Merit Diploma: Excellence in Spanish 3

Wheww...that was a lot of typing! Is there anything I can do before/during senior year to help my chances of getting where I want to be? Please comment! Thanks

I think you meant to say 167 on the PSAT, which is the equivalent of 1670. It is rather ambitious to say that you will increase your score 330 points. Until the actual sat is up its tuff But I think you have a good gpa and EC’s which will give you a good chance.

The 0-8 MD is like trying to get into the best 0-6 PharmDs in the country… i.e. almost like getting into an Ivy.

If you continue the way you’re going I think you’ll definetely get into both schools. Medical programs, I’m not so sure. Not because your stats are bad, but because they are EXTREMELY competitive and hard to get into. You’re best course of action would be to get that GPA up some more and get amazing SAT scores. Good luck!

@or2013: i agree, i am going off on a limb saying my sat scores will be higher but i am studying each night and hoping i’ll get there…

Quinnipiac: Low match (1670)/Safety (2000+/30+)
Regular UConn: Low match (1670)/Safety (2000+/30+)
UConn 0-8 MD: Reach
