4.0 weighted GPA / 4.0

Only an 1840 on the SAT, but a 29 on the ACT plus writing

will have 6 APs and 3 community college courses complete by graduation

the rest are honors courses except for 2 or 3 .5 credit electives

many extracurricular activities, including National Honor Society

ranked 7th in a class of 243

Very good chance, I live near UCONN. Very rural area. If you are in state I’d say 85% yes. If you are OOS I’d say 70% yes

What scores did you get on the AP exams you’ve taken? Those can be a better indication of aptitude than SATs in many cases. No offense, but there’s a bit of a disparity between your HS grades and your standardized test scores. You should be good for general admission, but the SAT/ACT will drag you down for honors and merit scholarships.

Also Dco, just wondering how this is relevant to a chance thread haha.

All I’m looking for is general admission. I’m only a slightly above average test taker, and I figure that I can just apply to the Honors Program my sophomore or junior year.

Haha TaciturnType idk, good question. Hayitscaitlin, the honors program at Uconn is even more selective, they accept kid that would otherwise be going to extremely competitive schools. If its your dream to so that though, by all means try your best. Being up SATs an have a solid essay

I don’t have time to retake any standardized tests, so my best bet would be just to apply to the Honors Program in a year or so or to the Scholars Program. The Honors Program only accepts about 12 percent of applicants. I knew that I wasn’t getting in as a freshman anyway.

I think you have a really great chance.
