Well, i got a 1940 on the sat (610 - writing, 680 math 650 writing). Yea, not great :/ .
GPA is a 3.9.

I have pretty awesome recommendations from teachers who know me very well.
I have decent essays. I think they're pretty good and so does my guidance counselor.

EC is pretty good.
I participate in music clubs, community help clubs and volunteer a lot (i taught at an elementary school).

SOOO .... I know i don't have much of a chance AND it is a reach...

BUT do i have a chance ... ? Have people with lower credentials been accepted ?

Sorry, you really don’t have any chance. 1290 SAT (CR/M) does not cut it for Cornell. Aim for at least 1400+.

Yes, people with similar and lower credentials do get in, but nearly all will be URMs, recruited athletes, legacies, children of major donors, etc.

-If you get those SAT scores a little higher than you got a chance.
-Could explain more on your clubs? It’s better to be in clubs for long time rather than a year than quit. Also are you compassionate about music? If so then make it stand out in your resume
-Explain a little more on your volunteering but teaching at an elementary school shows Colleges that your in touch with your community and eager to help others. This will defiantly make you look better.
-Your GPA is wonderful all you need is a higher SAT score, a kickin’ essay and your good.
Good luck and chance me back? @What are my chances
