Chance Me!

Hello everyone, I'm anxiously waiting to hear the admission decisions from a bunch of my schools. I applied to the following:
1. Ohio State - I was accepted.
2. University of Southern California (USC)
3. University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
4. Loyola Marymount University (LMU)
5. New York University (NYU)

My stats are as follows:
1. GPA : 3.91 unweighted, 4.16 weighted.
2. ACT : 31 in one setting. SAT = 1880 superscore (I know, not good.)
3. Senior Classload : 3 AP's, 1 Honors and two CP classes.
4. AP Classes taken : European History, Studio Drawing, Studio 2-D/Photography, AB Calculus. I also plan to take the AP Spanish Language test.
5. Extracurriculars include :
-Designing sophomore and senior t-shirts for class color day.
-NHS member.
-volunteer as a film director and photographer for a campaign at my high school.
-Track and field sprinter
-peer tutor to 7 students in spanish.
-also a tutor in a learning center at my school.
-tutored students with learning needs.
-Patiently waiting to hear if i will be an intern on a film set this March/April.
-Worked in a restaurant as a host for 2 years.
6. My essay:
Very good in my opinion. It was about my dream to work in the entertainment industry on films and how everyone told me it was this unrealistic dream. Then, I met a guy through a teacher I know who works in the film industry and how he kept my dream alive. (the essay prompt was "tell us about someone who inspired you and how" or something to that extent.
7. Demographic Stats:
-Caucasian.
-Male.
-Ohioan.
-Divorced parents, live with my mother.
-first year college student, my mother attends Xavier University right now.
-income level <$30,000.

Hooks?
First year college student. Also I'm talented in art (drawing and photography) but since I applied as undecided, I didn't get a chance to show them my portfolio I'm making in my 2 AP art classes. Also, I managed to meet people in Ohio that work in the film industry which I think is cool. Shows I know how to network.

9.School Applied to:
I applied undecided to all of my college because I didn't want to be denied from that program, and not get accepted to the school at all.

Thank you guys for reading and taking the time to help me out. I appreciate it! If you need anymore facts, let me know.

I think you have great chances for NYU and Loyola… CA schools are always difficult if you’re OOS but I think you have a good chance for Southern Cal. I’d say UCLA is definitely more of a “reach” but it’s not impossible by any means.

I forgot to mention a few things.

  1. Class rank: top 10%
  2. My high school is pretty competitive. In 2011, we were ranked #5 public high school in state of Ohio.
  3. Recommendation Letters:
-One from my art teacher. She loves me, her letter was very positive.
-One from my spanish III teacher. I aided for her and helped her on a curriculum project she had. Were practically friends, and her letter expressed how much I helped her.

Thanks guys again! I’d love to see more opinions.
