Hello! I am a senior in high school with a 3.5 GPA (unweighted), 8 AP courses, 6 advanced courses, NHS member, and an 1800 SAT. I am in ASB leadership, I have been a class officer for 4 years, class treasurer for 3, president of the Drug and Alchohol Prevention program, a 2012 SPSL 3A outstanding junior, scholar athlete, varsity softball player, yearbook editor, photography club member, Link Crew member, Young Life student leader, etc. I also do a lot of volunteer work, and balance this all with my job as a barista at a coffee shop. I also played competitive select softball for 3 years of high school, and I am ranked in the top 25% of my class. I do a large amount of various community service activities, and my essays are typically very strong. What are my chances of acceptance into UW Seattle?

Hello,

First off, it’s not a good idea to double post.

That aside, you have great extracurriculars, but your SAT is lower-than average and your GPA is on the lower side, though the fact that youre taking AP classes compensates that a little.

To be honest, I think this could go either way. It really depends on your essays. Statistically, I’d give you 60%-70% chance of acceptance.

Alright, I’m sorry! I am new to this site and didn’t know. Alright, thank you very much for your response!

the SAT could be 50 points higher, and the GPA could be higher, as hitachiota said (although they’ll overlook the GPA as you had APs). But as hitachiota said, it comes down to the essays.
