Chance Me?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if I could get some opinions on my chances at umich...gettin very nervous.
White male
Instate
3.875UW GPA (this is with the first semester transcript sent in, all A's with AP bio and chem)
Some volunteer experience/work experience
29 ACT
4 total AP courses
Thanks!

ACT on the 25th percentile…only 4 AP courses. Its going to be hard to get accepted…in state helps…How are your subject tests ? They help a lot more than you think…not required but still

It doesn’t matter how many APs you take, it matters what percentage of the APs available at your school you take. If OP’s school only had 4-5 APs offered, and he/she took 4, then that looks good. The GPA is solid (above average) and a 29 ACT is slightly below average, but the two balance each other out. In-state definitely helps as well. Depending on the strength of ECs, recs, essays, etc. are, OP has a decent to very good chance of admittance.

I apologize for piggy-backing on this thread, but I too would like to know my chances for getting into UM
Highschool junior
GPA: 3.96
ACT: 29

of AP’s: 3 so far, 6 by end of highschool.

In-state
If anyone would respond to this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

@Angussg, match
@APodge High-match

Just to compare, I got accepted early action
Gpa: 3.96 uw
SAT: 1900 (700 math) (I think that is close to a 29 on the ACT)
Out of state
College of Engineering
Almost all honors/AP/College courses
lots of volunteer work and a few sports
My grandfather went to Michigan

Based off of that, guess for fate as you will. I think my gpa and alumni connection had a lot to due with my admission (as my SAT was so-so).
