Chance me

Right now i got 87% in 10th grade. I want to study in UOFT, Waterloo, McMaster and Ryerson. I found out that Waterloo starts individual selection from the low-90s for mechanical engineering, from the high-80s for electrical engineering .
Do you i have a chance getting accepted there or in any other University as mentioned above if i maintain my percentage till grade 12?

P.S. - I'm an international student.
Your answers are highly appreciated.
Basically i'm Canadian origin living in other country.

Right now, I think:
Ryerson: Safety
McMaster: Match (iffy, because the cut-offs are going up, 82 in 2011 to 86 in 2012…)
U of T (EngSci): Low Reach
U of T (other programs): Match
Waterloo: Low Reach/High Match/Match depending on program

The mechanical engineering cutoff is correct, but the high-80’s claim may be a bit much; but i still suggest increasing your mark above 90% for a guaranteed entry into engineering. Your grade 12 mark will differ from your grade 10 mark if you change as a person, and it could get better or worse. As long as you keep your effort up and improve just a little bit, you’ll be above 90% and into your choices.

OrchidBloom’s predictions are the same as mine, and i especially stress the last one. The average required is much different depending on which field you are aiming to get into, so be sure to research your particular field (Probably later on, grade 10 is still decision time for many) and ask any of your HS alumni (If you know any graduates, like a cousin or sibling) about the particular university and the cutoffs required for each field. Other than that, online forums are the best place for such information, as i don’t really trust University website information in regards to such matters.

Ryerson: Safety
McMaster: Match
U Toronto MechE: Reach
U Toronto ElecE: Match
Waterloo: Match/High match

More weight will be placed on the final year of high school than on Grade 10.
