Georgetown: Reach
U Chicago: Reach (can you write stellar essays?)
Notre Dame: Reach
BU: Match
BC: Match (if male)/High match (if female)

Catria is right on with her reply. BU and BC would be matches but you would need higher test scores for University of Chicago, Notre Dame, and Georgetown. Just because they are reaches though, dont be afraid to apply especially if you raise your test scores!

Thank you Catrai and heyitsmiaa! Yeah I’ve only taken the ACT once so do you think 29 is a good starting point for these schools? I’m planning on taking the ACT this June. If my score does not increase, I can still take it in Sept, Oct, and other months.

What about my GPA - is it still possible for Notre Dame even though it’s pretty low?

BU and BC are definite matches! And I think you’ll love BU- my friend got accepted and we toured the campus GORGEOUS. And the gym? AMAZING. Atmosphere? LOVED.

Others are reaches but keep trekking!

For you:
Georgetown: 36.3%
U Chicago: 12.3%
Notre Dame: 56.7%
BU: 80.5%
BC: 63.0%

ND: HIGH MATCH
GTOWN: HIGH MATCH
UChicago: HIGH REACH
BC: MATCH
BU: SAFETY

Make sure to get a reccomendation from within the church for BC and ND in particular.

Great Idea! I’ll get a rec letter from my priest. He also wrote me one when I was applying for National Honors Society. Does the fact that I’m Roman Catholic and have been actively participating in my parish and youth group give me better chances at Notre Dame and BC?

For you:

Georgetown: 26.2%
U Chicago: 11.4%
Notre Dame: 28.4%
BU: 82.8%
BC: 42.1%

gives you a much better chance. If you have the opportunity to get your ACT over 30, would increase your chances significantly! Good Luck!
