Good luck!

Don’t bother taking the ACT, just try to improve your SAT score.
I had a lower GPA, but a higher SAT score (1790).

I don’t know how Rutgers picks their students (I don’t even know how I got in tbh haha), but I think they look at three things:

 1. dedication (either to something you love, or a job, or a sport, etc.)
 2. diversity (BIG one)
 3. leadership

Good luck!

Thank you! Anyone else?

I had a 3.09 GPA, an 1800 on the SAT and a 27 on the ACT. I was waitlisted for SAS and SEBS this year. They were significantly more selective. If you want to have a real shot at getting in, I suggest that you get your SAT score up. Also, I would suggest that you take the ACT at least once. Although I got a 27 on it, which converts to an 1800 on the SAT, I got a 31 on the English section, which converts to a 690 on the Critical Reading section of the SAT. I got a 610 on the actual CR section of the SAT, so taking the ACT certainly helped me when regarding this.

Reading and Math are more important so what are those two scores.

Improving SAT to atleast 1700 will make you a bit more competitive. Apply early and good luck.

SAS accepts the most students i believe.
