<p>Now my main problem is my freshmen year grades. I really messed up and am worried they will ruin my application. </p>

<p>I don’t think your freshman year grades will hurt you at all. If anything, they will appreciate the upward trend. Your test scores put you solidly in the middle 50%, which is good, but could be stronger. If anything looks weak, I would say it would be your ECs. It is kind of hard to tell if you have much depth to the ones you are involved in. Religious affiliation is “considered” in admission, according to ND’s CDS, but I’m not sure how. My D is a white, Catholic, upper middle class kid. I was told by different people that her demographic would both help and hurt her. From our experience, I think ND is looking for the type of kid who really buys into what the University represents, and your opportunity to show how you would fit would be your essays.
