Chance Me

Hi i'm going to be a senior at a highly ranked northwest suburban Chicago high school (stevenson) and I am wondering what my chances would be to get in
My dad died when I was 12 and my mom is an immigrant from mexico. My brother has autism so I also do some charity for autism speaks. I myself have Aspergers and ADHD. I am the Vice President of a club at my school and played club volleyball where I was my team Captain. I also come from a low income family (we live on welfare). I am undecided on major right now.

My Stats

GPA: 4.02 (UC GPA)
3.5 UW (3.66 not counting freshman year)
I got a 5 on all my AP tests.

ACT: (highest in each)

C:32

E:32

M:32

R:33

S:35

Classes

Freshman: Freshman English-Ac, World History, Biology-Ac, Advanced algebra accelerated, and Spanish 2

Sophomore: Sophomore English-Ac, AP Human Geography (5), Geometry-Ac, Chemistry-Ac, Public Speaking, and Spanish 3

Junior: Junior English-Ac, AP US History, Physics-Ac, Pre Calculus-Ac, Spanish 4

Senior: Anatomy-Ac, Political Thought, AP Psychology, AP Macroeconomics, AP US Government, AP comparative Government, AP Statistics

You have a solid chance, but ACT’s a little low especially if it is superscored in my opinion as well as your GPA. I live near stevenson, so I know exactly what type of school you’re talking about haha, and everyone is so competitive. By the way, you’re school is HUGE. I visited once and got lost at every corner
I would retake the ACT if possible, and improve your gpa. Do you have mostly upward trends? because many colleges like to see that.

Also, normally I would say your ethnicity would help you, but UC Berkley is a color blind school which means they don’t factor that aspect into their decision making. Overall, I think this is a slight reach for you but definitely apply because you’ve still got a shot!

Hope I helped! :)

You have very good chances and it used to be a disadvantage for out of state but UCs are recruiting more OOS applicants now due to budget cuts. I would say your a very strong candidate.
If your going for engineering though its a tough call, other than that great job and keep up the good work.

Stanford will accept you.

U really think I have a chance for stanford
