Chance Me?

My info:

International high school graduate
Latino
From Brazil but currently living in New Jersey
I'll be a first-generation college student.

2.3 GPA

SAT:
M - 400
CR - 510
W - 570

I finished high school almost 2 years ago. I recently tried taking the SATs and my scores are terrible as I expected. I got accepted into a top 10 university in Latin America last year and didn't attend so I could come here.

I know I'm probably community college material but I thought I should at least give it a try and send in some applications? Shpuld I just give up and go to community college?

These are the colleges I'm interested in:

University of Alabama at Birmingham
San Francisco State University
University of Massachusetts-Boston
Rutgers University-Newark
The University of Texas at Arlington
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro

You should go to community college, and in two years you will be prepared to transfer to a college. Colleges want to be sure that you will be successful and graduate and if you can find success in community college, you will probably be able to get into a college you would want to go to. It’s probably not worth the effort to apply to those colleges right now.
