You’re a junior? If you improve that ACT score, you’ll have a great shot, especially with your race, strong E.C’s, GPA and rank

Sorry, but without your junior year grades, we won’t be able to adequately chance you. I can say with confidence, though, that you’re definitely on the right track. Just try to bump up your a ACT score ~3 points.

Good luck! :)

I won’t be a junior when school resumes next week. I forgot to add that. I’ll be applying this fall.

I’ve already retaken the ACT once and got my 30. I just don’t feel that retaking again is in my best interest, considering the stress that comes with it and the fact that this will be my senior year.

If you want a legitimate shot at the schools on your list, you’ll have to take it again.

MSU: low match
UMich: Match for in state, high match for oos assuming for LSA.

I live in Michigan so they are both in-state.

Taking it a third time has crossed my mind but I just don’t think I’ll do much better. I studied for the second one (30) more than the first (28). The next testing date is late September, which doesn’t give me much time between now and then to study considering the school year is starting. I just don’t know if it would actually help in the long run.

Being URM with these credential, you should have no problem getting into MSU and UMich. You school list look fine too.

Thanks billcsho and jibler, you’ve both been very helpful.

I think I may retake the ACT next month, choose not to score report when signing up, and then decide on whether or not to keep it when I get my scores. Then at least I can say that I tried, ya know?

Yeah, that’s a good plan. Even if you might not improve, you still have a chance. Hope things work out!
