Chance me?

I'm a female, Asian senior in Northern California. I moved from the Midwest in the beginning of my sophomore year.

My current UC unweighted GPA is 3.97; weighted it's 4.17. The only B I've gotten from sophomore and junior year was a B+ first semester in AP Chem.

Last year I took 3 AP classes: Chem (2), Lang (3), and US History (4)
This year I'm taking AP Calc, AP Lit, and AP Bio

I've been in my school's top choirs since my sophomore year

Freshman year: silver ranking on the National Spanish exam, choir leadership award
Sophomore year: won my school's American Idol competition
Junior year: ALA Girls' State Nominee, female lead in school's spring musical
Senior year: female lead in school's fall musical, NHS secretary, CSF president, and hopefully Choir VP once elections come around next month

I am an active participant in Choir, NHS, CSF, Theatre, Asian, and Constitution Club.

SAT score: 1880 (580 CR, 640 CM, 660 CW). I plan on re-taking it next month and I will actually try to study this time... The first time I took I got a 1780 so hopefully I will improve even more.

For my personal statements I plan on writing about how singing/choir brought me out of my comfort zone despite being the new kid at my school, and my Asian upbringing and how witnessing the ridicule my parents have been put through thanks to discrimination has taught me to stand up for myself and seize every opportunity that comes my way.

Thank you!

Do your best to improve your SAT score (preferably above 2000), take a subject test or two for good measure (>700 would be nice), write your heart out on those essays, and you should have a decent chance.
