Now that I have the most recent SAT scores and my UF GPA I wanted to know my chances:

UF GPA: 4.02
SAT: 1870

Will receive my AA in may.
Will have 6 AP classes.
Will have 4 honors courses.
Will have 23 dual enrollment courses.

Senior Schedule: AP Calculus AB, AP Government, AP Economics, AP Literature, and 9 dual enrollment courses.

Extracurriculars:
Volunteered with a program named Hope for Homeless for 3 years.
Volunteered at Child Life department at a hospital for the past two years for about 6 hours per week.

Participant in Toshiba Explora Vision Competition (8,9,10 grade): 5 hours per week
History Major

Recipient of Toshiba/ExploraVision Honorable Mention

I know my SAT score and extracurriculars are weak but what do you think my chances are. Should I retake SAT in December (even though I've taken it 3 times) or try the ACT?

If I do get denied as a freshman and I apply as a transfer what are my chances?
My college gpa is 3.66 but should easily go up to a 3.78 after this semester.
My pre-professional gpa is a 4.0 and I have all my prereqs complete.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi, you have to complete the freshman application, but you must also apply to a specific UF college and major. You also must meet college and major prerequisite course and minimum GPA requirements.

[University of Florida - Admissions](<a href=“Transfer - How to Apply - University of Florida”>Transfer - How to Apply - University of Florida)

Which college/major are you applying too? Your stats should be fine for most majors. It’s hard to nail down your chances, due to the “transfer” process, but it’s more likely to help than hurt (they care more about your GPA/prereqs than SAT).

You’re a match. I wouldn’t re-take the test in December, since there is a chance it will not make it to UF In time (UF’s deadline for SAT/ACT test scores is “December”). Three times is enough for anyone…time to put the SAT behind you and start enjoying your senior year!

Good Luck!

Hey, you have a great chance at getting accepted, just write a solid essay. There is just one application process.

I had an AA coming out of HS too and your acceptance letter will say freshman but you will be given junior standing at UF. Ultimately it is your choice in deciding how long you stay for undergraduates because high school/AA graduates have a lot more freedom in choosing classes.

Good luck :)
