Chance me?

-Intended Major: Architecture
-SAT: (CR+M) 1090/1600; 1680 overall (when superscored)
-ACT Composite: 25 (30:English; 23:reading; 22:science; 25:math)
-CSU GPA: 3.88
-By time of graduation I will have taken 8 AP classes as well as 7 honors
-11-15 hours per week in clubs/activities, including leadership positions
-I’ve taken 6 years of math total
-Applied early decision

I’m honestly panicking that I won’t get in - I am 100% sure I want to go but I’m just terrified they won’t accept me since Architecture is so competitive there!
What chances do I have??

Your test scores are rather low and your GPA is slightly below average for architecture. According to last years statistics for admitted students for college architecture and environmental design, the average GPA was a 3.90, the average ACT was a 29, and the average SAT was a 1291/1600 with 812 out of 1,970 applicants selected for admission (41% acceptance rate). Cal Poly is very cut-and-dried with selection as they go primarily based off of numbers, but they are still on a point-system so you’ll get bonus points for the extra years of math and you’ll probably get a few more for your ECs. I’d say it is not promising, but there is still a chance. I think you should likely expect to get to deferred to RD.

With your stats it’s unlikely you’ll be admitted. Hopefully you applied elsewhere as a plan B.

Good luck.
