Chance Me?!

I'm a junior in a private Jesuit high school. I have a 94% unweighted average, and a 98% weighted average (top 4%). I've taken AP Art History, AP US History, AP Biology, and AP Lit. Next year I'm taking AP Calc BC, AP Psychology, and AP French. I'm a year ahead in French, I will graduate with four histories and five science credits, and I will have taken one less than the maximum number of APs my school allows. I have been involved in service and volunteering (I have gotten awards for it), Theater, Stage Crew, French Honors Society, I work with mentally disabled teens, I'm part of my school's Service Club (junior officer), I'm in the Honors Program, I've gotten awards for my performance on the National French Contest two years in a row, and I am part of a program that writes letters to politicians about social change. I am also legacy at Notre Dame. Do I have a shot at Notre Dame or any of the Ivys? What about Vanderbilt or Wash U?

What’s your SAT? How are your essays? Rec letters? Any hooks outside of legacy? Do you have any ECs outside of school? There’s too much info missing, and I’d suggest formatting it in a more readable way…
But based on the info your provided, you seem to have a decent shot. Your app seems fairly average, and your chances won’t be much higher than average (the acceptance rate) unless you find some way to set yourself apart from the general applicant pool.

Sorry, I’ll lay it out better. I’m only a junior, so some of the “missing” information I didn’t include because I don’t have it yet :)

I write poetry (I don’t know if I can submit any of that though)

Teacher Recs:
Only asked one teacher so far. She’s my AP Lit teacher, used to be a dean, and is the head of the English Department. She’s great!!

SAT:
Haven’t taken yet, taking the ACT in February. PLAN test projected my scores to be around a 32-35, so I’ll be working hard to get at least a 34.

Your extracurriculars are lacking, so I’d work on those; however, that GPA is awesome! Here’s what I’d say:

With a 32 ACT try Vandy and Notre Dame
With a 33 I’d add WashU
With a 34 or higher I would go with this list:

Vandy (high match)
Dartmouth (reach)
WashU (reach)
Notre Dame (high match/match)
Boston College (low match, since you’re going to Jesuit school it’s a good backup school)
And any other schools you like!

Thanks! That was very helpful. Any ideas on what I could do to help beef up my ECs? I’m not sure what else I should do or what would make an impression. :)
