Pretty strong at all of them except for maybe Cornell where I think you must apply separately to the engineering school (and they’ll set an even higher threshold for it than the other schools. You may be far above average for, say, the arts and sciences unit, but then only slightly above the engineering average. As in, not above enough to impress them, especially since you are international and need aid). It and Rice will be the most random with Cornell being more so than Rice. I assume that they would consider your GPA higher than an equivalent US GPA, but if they don’t, it’ll hurt. Since many HS’s in the US are relatively easy grade wise (the courses “can” be hard, but are not graded particularly rigorously, and will often have easier content and grading than many places overseas), most people applying to everywhere on your list but OSU and Purdue have GPA’s between 3.8-4.0 (somewhere in the 90s). My guess is that the adcoms will know how to interpret it. Also Cornell and Rice are selective private schools and take into account softer factors moreso than the others so would more seriously look at your ECs. They should be pretty strong. The others want good ECs, but aren’t as intense about it as those 2. For example, if they saw someone without a 1450+ SAT (assume strong GPA) and strong SATIIs with extraordinary EC’s, they would admit them before they admit a 1500+ without extraordinary ECs.
